It's rated easy to moderate and achievable with an average level of fitness. Horses are available for hire at the starting point for those unable to make the climb.
Driving Licence, PAN Card, and Aadhaar Card are not accepted as sole ID at the Bhutan immigration check-post. Children under 18 need Aadhaar or a Birth Certificate plus 4 passport-sized photographs.
The cranes migrate from the Tibetan plateau during winter, so a winter visit offers the best chance of sighting them.
